We’re delighted to announce that our client Sky has been awarded Best Experimentation Practice (EMEA), in the Optimizer Awards 2021.
The awards recognise Optimizely customers which have shown outstanding achievement in digital innovation and creativity in the past 12 months.
More specifically, the Best Experimentation Practice award is given to organisations who have run stellar experimentation programmes, demonstrating strong data-driven approaches to solve real customer problems and drive impactful business decisions.
The team at Sky encourages employees from across the business to come forward with test ideas which are then discussed in ideation sessions and developed into problem statements with supporting data analysis.
Test results are shared with the business and collated in a central repository. If the test is false or inconclusive, data is gathered to analyse what action to take, and fortnightly experimentation sessions are held with teams from across all of digital to discuss the outcomes.
In addition to the ideas proposed by employees, the core Experimentation Team also delivers an always-on, product-led roadmap of experiments, typically conducting 250-350 experiments per year.
As a result, the programme has significantly improved Sky’s ability to innovate new features and services, create better customer experience and improve business performance.
Natasha Senior, Senior Experimentation Manager at Sky said, “It is an honour to receive this award from Optimizely. Our passion for experimentation and the cutting-edge work we do with Optimizely in tandem with our agency partner Creative CX can be felt across the business, from our Digital Departments to our Customer Service teams. We’re excited to see what we can achieve together in the future.”
Mark Pybus, CEO at Creative CX commented, “Sky is a fantastic business and a true innovator in the experimentation space and we’re very proud to have played a small part in the success of their programme to-date.”
